An Uncompromising Standard of Evaluation

An UncompromisingStandard of Evaluation

An accurate appraisal takes more than a quick glance — it takes trained eyes, the right tools, and an honest read on today's market. We evaluate diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals in person, examining cut, clarity, color, carat weight, and craftsmanship before putting a number to paper.

Whether it's a piece you just purchased or one that's been in the family for generations, every appraisal is handled with the same care and attention we'd want if it were our own.

Why Trust Anfesa'sWith Your Appraisal

An appraisal is only as good as the person behind it. Ours are performed by someone who works with fine jewelry every day — not a database pulling averages. That means a more accurate number, and an evaluation that holds up when it matters, whether that's with an insurance company or a buyer.

We'll walk you through exactly how we arrived at your piece's value, so you leave with a clear, written appraisal and a real understanding of what you own.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pricing depends on the piece and the type of appraisal needed. Contact us for current pricing, or ask about appraisal costs when you bring your piece in.
It depends on the piece and the type of appraisal. A simple piece can often be appraised in a short visit, while larger collections or detailed written reports take longer. We'll give you a clear timeframe when you bring your piece in.
Most insurance companies ask for a current appraisal to document the value of a piece, and it helps make a claim go smoothly if the piece is ever lost, stolen or damaged. Requirements vary by insurer, so it's a good idea to check with yours about the type of appraisal they accept.
A good rule of thumb is every two to three years, since gold, silver and gemstone prices change over time. An older appraisal may no longer reflect what it would cost to replace your piece, which can leave you underinsured. You may also want a new one after any major repair or resizing.
An appraisal estimates the value of a piece, usually for insurance or estate purposes, and is typically based on the cost to replace it. A resale offer is what we would pay to buy the piece from you, which is generally lower because it reflects what we can resell it for. If you're not sure which you need, we're happy to explain both when you stop in.
